Dengue is endemic in most tropical and subtropical countries, many of which are popular tourist destinations. International travelers may both acquire and spread dengue virus infection. Health care providers need to understand the epidemiology, risk factors, clinical spectrum, diagnosis, management, and prevention of dengue in travelers.
