LITERATURE

Laryngeal Trauma

Laryngeal trauma is an uncommon but potentially life-threatening injury. Estimates of occurrence range from 1 in 5000 emergency department visits to 1 in 137,000 hospital admissions.
The signs and symptoms are variable, and severe injuries may initially appear innocuous. The airway must always be thoroughly evaluated.
