Stroke as a complication of cardiac catheterization: Risk factors and clinical features


Stroke is a rare but well-recognized complication of cardiac catheterization (CC).1-4 Prior series have included limited neuroimaging studies and often do not differentiate between stroke and other neurologic complications of CC such as TIA or migraine. We aim to better define the risk factors, clinical features, and radiologic pattern of these strokes.
